The various members who launched this initiative come from other countries, or have had the chance to travel and rub shoulders with people from different countries, cultures, backgrounds and social origins, and one question came to mind: how is the message of climate urgency transmitted in other countries?

Our Objectives

Firstly, we want to form a taskforce in which as many nationalities as possible are represented by academics from these countries, and then bring them together to discuss how the message of the climate emergency is spread in their respective countries. Having identified the way in which the climate emergency is dealt with in each country and/or culture, through collective work between members, we hope to co-create actions to spread this message as widely as possible across the world.

Our Actions

Our actions can be split into several stages:

Soliciting academics of various nationalities with the same climate sensitivities as us to contact other academics in their home countries,

Introduce our approach and ambitions to these new academics to motivate them to join us,

Organize a virtual international symposium at the end of 2024 to discuss the different methods of disseminating the climate message, areas for improvement and best practices.

The » Transition Without Borders » collective wishes to collectively define actions that will enable the global dissemination of the climate emergency and raise citizens’ awareness on this subject.

Want to Join in?

Contact

Who are we?
